SOCIAL HOUSING VIA SAFFI

The project involved the construction of a new social housing building through the demolition and reconstruction of the existing complex in Via Saffi, in the municipality of Grosseto, as part of the National Innovative Program for Housing Quality (PINQuA) – Intervention 2, funded through the PNRR program.

The aim of the project was to create a new residential building integrated into the surrounding urban fabric, combining energy efficiency with the use of traditional construction technologies with reduced economic impact.

The design is based on simple geometries, respecting the project site and ensuring a coherent integration with the surrounding built landscape.
The façades, defined by regular window openings, are characterized by metal window reveals and the alternation of painted plaster and corten steel cladding panels.

Studio Unidea acted as a specialist technical consultant for Hydea SpA, developing the executive architectural design and coordinating the overall design team.
