VILLA SCHIFANOIA
Studio Unidea developed the restoration design for the external window frames of Villa Schifanoia, an important historical complex dating back to the 15th century, located in Via Boccaccio in the San Domenico area, on the border between Florence and Fiesole.
The project, commissioned within a public procurement framework, included a detailed analysis of the conservation state of the windows and historic openings, the definition of restoration methods and the recovery of wooden and metal materials, as well as the design of the most suitable technical solutions to ensure the protection of the listed heritage asset.
The objective of the project was to preserve the original architectural characteristics of the window frames while improving their performance and ensuring full compatibility with the historical and artistic value of the villa.
