FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY – FLORENCE CAMPUS
The project involved the restoration and upgrading of a historic 16th-century building located in Via de’ Neri in Florence, with the aim of hosting the Florence campus of Florida State University.
The intervention included the functional reorganization of the interior spaces, together with upgrades to fire safety systems, building services and sanitary installations in order to comply with current regulations.
Studio Unidea collaborated with the engineering firm GPA Srl, providing artistic direction and site management during the construction phases, with particular attention to interdisciplinary coordination between the different building components and to the overall quality of the intervention.
