DEHOR RIMANI

The project involved the architectural design and construction management of the new outdoor terrace for Caffetteria Rimani in Florence, with the aim of expanding the space dedicated to customer service and improving the usability of the outdoor area throughout the year.

The intervention was conceived as a light structure integrated within the urban context, characterized by an essential and contemporary construction system capable of dialoguing with the existing architectural fabric without altering its identity. The structural framework was designed to ensure stability, durability and ease of maintenance, integrating systems for rainwater collection and drainage.

Particular attention was given to environmental comfort and spatial quality through the integration of infrared radiant panels recessed into the ceiling for heating, recessed LED lighting systems and transparent lateral enclosures with sliding glass panels that disappear when opened, allowing maximum flexibility of use depending on weather conditions.

The project also included the definition of construction details, finishes and materials, selected to ensure resistance to weather conditions, aesthetic continuity and ease of maintenance. Construction management ensured the coordination of contractors and supervision of the correct execution of the works, in compliance with the project, current regulations and the planned schedule.

The new terrace represents a coherent and refined extension of the existing activity, contributing to strengthen the identity of Caffetteria Rimani and improve the experience of users within the urban space.
